Highlander Robotics students host two Girl Scout badge workshops, open to all girls

November 1, 2026 · Piedmont Makers

High school students on Highlander Robotics are teaching a nightlight design workshop on November 14 and an Arduino workshop on December 5, where Girl Scouts will earn badges and any girl in the grade range can sign up.

Every year, Highlander Robotics students run workshops for Girl Scouts, from Daisies on up. Team members write the presentations and build the materials themselves, giving scouts a way to earn STEAM and robotics-related badges.

Two workshops are coming up this season at the team’s 10th Street practice field in Oakland. Girl Scouts will earn badges, and you don’t need to be a Girl Scout to come: both workshops are open to any girl in the grade range.
